Foster a sense of pride among the Galicians themselves for works well done. Even recognizing that the main cities of Galicia have been carrying out brilliant actions in recent years to revalue and beautify their urban centres, it is also essential that these interventions be carried out in rural town councils. On the other hand, the rural landscapes of Galicia make up one of our main identity features. Since the economic resources of a large part of the municipalities of Galicia are scarce, it is necessary that public policies prioritize investments in landscape and urban recovery in rural environments. With this aim, the Galicia Parabéns Awards will not be used to finance intervention projects that are developed within the seven main cities of Galicia.
CATEGORIES Los Premios Galicia Congratulations will appear in two categories: 1st category: Intended to distinguish the initiatives or actions carried out in the last ten years to achieve an improvement of the landscape, an adequate integration in it of anthropic elements (architectures, roads, industries, quarries...), or the aesthetic improvement BYB Directory of population centers. . Likewise, beautification initiatives or actions carried out near the routes of the Camino de Santiago are included in this category. For the first category there will be two options: In the event that the works carried out previously require a new phase of intervention, a project will be presented that continues, expands or completes those actions.
If the works are completed at the time of submitting the application, a new complementary project may be submitted in the same line of action. 2nd category: Aimed at rewarding new projects aimed at carrying out revaluation and beautification works, both to promote an improvement of the landscape and for interventions in population centers or in the vicinity of the Caminos de Santiago. In this second category it will be mandatory to execute a new intervention project.
