Hey Angel, it's RBB12. I am looking to sign up with the Sun Dragons. Only one thing, though. I already made my campaigns and came up with squad names and don't know how to change them. Plus, I'm a little shaky, but am fully willing to practice. Please take me into consideration. Great! You're signed up as a squad newbie. What times will you be playing? I'd like to get you in-game. Also... if I recall correctly, there's no way for squad name to be changed once you've started the campaign. You'd have to make a new game.

Lol single player is single player, doesn't really affect anything squad related, so have no worries there. Nobody's going to lynch you because of it . Also if Angel doesn't mind, I'd like to be the squad instructor (unless we have someone more qualified, I'm not entirely sure what the roster is). My methods are harsh (eg I withhold muffins from members who fail) but they're effective. But seriously, I'm planning a curriculum that would make the squad, at the very least, effective, including a few secrets about the vehicles that make them easier to kill (especially the Dreadlock).

Go for it, Snow. Trainery from a vet like you would be most valuable and appreciated. And, that roster, uh, the nav bar links that are dead ends are under construction.

My first order of business is to recommend Skype (See chatbox for link).
It's an effective cross of Instant Messaging and Voice Communications. Once a conference room is set up (just by clicking "add people"), your skype avatar is there until you manually leave, so basically even if you exit skype, once you start it you will automatically be in that conference room.
Voice chatting, or "calls", is per person, basically X calls the room, Y can answer, Z doesn't have to answer. The voicing goes in tandem with the chatting, so 3 people can be in a call, but only 2 actually talking while the third can be typing. So for anyone who's a little nervous about voice chatting, or even if you don't have a microphone, you can be involved with the call and just mute yourself.
If you've any questions, let me know.

Got it installed, sounds good for inter-squad chat. I'm figuring I'll have free time this evening to mess around on it. Also, I just added some codes to allow the Skype usernames to be added to one's profile information; that should be helpful.
Couple of questions: 1, is the number of people who can be communicating at once absolutely limited to three people? 2, how does Skype work with SS? I'm figuring the mic chat will be like TS, but I'm more unsure about the IM texts.

1: The number of people in one call is, as far as I know, limitless. The most I've had is upwards of 5 at once (including myself) Video with multiple people, on the other hand, requires a subscription, though video 1 on 1 functions normally.
2: It runs in the background, like TS. The IM texts shouldn't matter if we're in-game, as anyone not chatting can just talk using SS's text system (Though they can still hear those of us who do talk).

Angel, do you ever remember playing with TBX-1? That was me, and I play pretty often to get better. An I figured out how to change squad name and name for multiplayer, so I'm good. Thanks for this oppertunity.

HEYEYYAYAYAYAYAYEYEAYA
I updated your member status. Still not going to be playing for an unknown length of time. Wish I could! I do miss good old SS. Damn homelessness and unemployment, and terrible forsaking families, too.
